For Kappa Alpha Theta, our highest aim is scholarship. At John Carroll, the women of Eta Kappa strive for academic excellence and work hard to achieve that goal. We have a requirement GPA of 2.75 for all members in order to be in good academic standing with the sorority. For executive officers of the chapter, each is required to maintain a GPA of 2.8. If a member or officer happens to go below the required GPA, terms of probation will be individualized for that member. Probation is not a negative thing— it is used to give additional help and support to a sister who needs it. Our chapter’s goal as a whole is to become leading women in our society and having a focus on scholarship makes that goal reachable. Last semester, our chapter reached our goal and had the highest Greek GPA on our campus.
